It began with a simple idea.......
It all started in the UK in 2004 after watching the Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman on The Long Way Round TV show. My love of Motorcycles was re-born and the idea of riding a bike again smouldered away in my subconscious for a few years.
When I moved with my family to the otherside of the world the idea took form and I started to ride again in 2013 and have been riding almost daily since.
Now since then I’ve become somewhat obsessed with all things motorcycle related, including great classic custom bikes and more importantly t-shirts with Motorcycles or Motorcycle themed. My favourites I wear all the time Gasoline.com.au and thebikeshed.cc. I love the simple designs and the quality of the T-shirts. The Quality is important. A great design on a cheap T-shirts doesn’t do it for me.
While working from home one day I read an article on LinkedIn linking to a web site called abetterlemonadstand.com called "How I built an Online T-shirt Business in 24 Hours"(or something like that).
Another idea started to grow in my head - why not create a simple brand and design that I would buy and wear and maybe other like-minded motorcycle loving people would too? That’s where the brand came from I took the name of the North Shore road that every motorcyclist in Sydney knows and loves … The Old Pac Hwy.
I started sketching a few designs and sharing them with friends. Some liked the bikes, others asked for classic cars, so I worked on a few of these, although my heart is still with motorbikes.
The designs were the easy bit, I then looked around for reputable people to print my designs. This was harder than I thought, but after testing a few I found a couple that I was happy to share with you,
That’s the start of this story. I hope you love the T’s as much as I do, and hopefully we can build the brand together and put the Old Pac Hwy on the map
